Assistive TechnologyRochester Public Library has an adaptive computer workstation for people who are blind, have low vision, or reading/learning disabilities. The workstation is equipped with adaptive technology which allows people with visual disabilities to use the library's online catalog and surf the Internet. |

Copiers and ScannersThe library has five public scanners for converting your documents/photos into digital form and two black and white photocopiers |

Fax MachineThe Library has a self-service Fax Machine on the second floor. Payment is accepted by credit card or cash (by purchasing a pre-paid Fax Card at the Reference Desk). The library does not accept incoming faxes. |

Internet Computers and WifiThe library has 26 Internet Computers, 3 Word Processing Computers, 5 Scanners and free WIFI internet access available for public use. Printing is available from library computers and wireless printing is available for compatible laptop computers. |

Microfilm Reader/ScannersThe library has several different machines for reading microfilm, all located on the second floor of the library. |

Printing from Library ComputersYou may send a print job from any computer in the library (including the catalog computers). Print fees are $0.10 per sheet of paper printed with black ink and $0.25 per sheet of paper printed with color ink. Before you send your print job to the printer, be sure to select the correct setting (for B/W or Color). |

Skype ComputerA room in our 2nd Floor Computer Lab that features a computer loaded with Skype software, a webcam, headphones and a microphone that can be used to make Skype video/audio calls. |

Word Processing and Computer SoftwareThere are 3 Word Processing Computers on the 2nd floor of the library which have Microsoft Office 2010 software installed (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Publisher). These computer also have Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11. All internet computer have Office 2010 installed as well.Mavis Beacon typing software and Resume software installed on Computer Lab computers (available when the Lab is open to the public). |

3D PrinterThe library has an Ultimaker 2 3D printer in the Computer Lab on the 2nd floor that uses PLA plastics. The library will be offering classes and printing for the public in the near future. |
