The purpose of library programming is to support the library's mission to strengthen community and enrich lives by sparking imagination, creativity, engagement and learning. In addition, library programming is developed based on available staff and other resources.

Library Partnerships

The library partners with the community for programming and encourages multiple points of view in a neutral environment.  We look for areas of common interest where both the community partner and the library bring value to the programming effort.

The library has the ability to contribute space, staffing, equipment and marketing to a partnership initiative.  The library also has the ability to gather supplemental resources to support ongoing learning from the program and can create supportive bibliographies and library guides.

Partner organizations are not allowed to solicit funds, personal information, or promote commercial services.  It is acceptable to make available promotional materials about the organization on a table at the back of the program.

Updated April, 2013

The library frequently partners with community organizations to present programming consistent with the library's mission and core values. If you'd like to submit a proposal for adult and teen programs, please review and complete the partnership proposal form  WORD |  PDF and email it to Kim Edson.

Library staff will evaluate your proposal and work with you on a partnership agreement if approved.
