Friends of the Rochester Public Library
The Friends of the Rochester Public Library raise funds to expand the library’s collections and programs, support special projects and promote awareness through community involvement. Funds come mainly from membership contributions, special events, and the sale of donated books at the Book Store, the sale of books online, and through four large auditorium Book Sales held throughout the year.

The Friends' Bookstore will offer customers some terrific experiences in March. All through the month, the Friends will sponsor the BOGO in romances. BOGO stands for Buy One Get One Free, and during March, you will get one free paperback romance with every romance that you buy (of equal or lesser value). I Last month, we started issuing punch cards to all of our customers. You will receive one punch for each item purchased, and after 9 punches, your 10th item will be free. The value of the free item is up to $3.00, a great deal! You are welcome to drop in the Bookstore any time, but be sure to see us in March!
Bookmobile Garage Door
Peter Lex has finished painting the Library garage door where the Bookmobile is parked when not in use. The automotive paint has deep colors and a wonderful gloss guaranteed to give us years of pleasure. If you have not yet seen the mural, stop by on the west side of the Library near the book return and see this terrific piece of art. The door was designed by Nicole Henry and Ally Addison.
The Friends' Bookstore has had a make-over. In addition to new paint, the Friends have also installed new track lighting to brighten the shelves near mystery and science fiction as well as cooking. Most recently, we put up our new signs to help you navigate the store more easily. Stop in today to see our new look!
