Friends of the Rochester Public Library
The Friends of the Rochester Public Library raise funds to expand the library’s collections and programs, support special projects and promote awareness through community involvement. Funds come mainly from membership contributions, special events, and the sale of donated books at the Book Store, the sale of books online, and through four large auditorium Book Sales held throughout the year.

Punch Cards for Free Books
Begining at mid-February, the Bookstore began handing out punch cards with purchases. For each purchase that you make, you will receive one punch. For example, if during one visit, you purchase three books, you will receive three punches. Once you have a total of 9 punches, your 10th book is free - with a value of up to $3.00. To date, we have give out over 300 punch cards, and we have redeemed several dozen. Pick up your punch card the next time you are in the Friends' Bookstore.
Bookmobile Garage Door
Peter Lex has finished painting the Library garage door where the Bookmobile is parked when not in use. The automotive paint has deep colors and a wonderful gloss guaranteed to give us years of pleasure. If you have not yet seen the mural, stop by on the west side of the Library near the book return and see this terrific piece of art. The door was designed by Nicole Henry and Ally Addison.
The Friends' Bookstore has had a make-over. In addition to new paint, the Friends have also installed new track lighting to brighten the shelves near mystery and science fiction as well as cooking. Most recently, we put up our new signs to help you navigate the store more easily. Stop in today to see our new look!
