The library has an "Ultimaker 2" 3D printer in the 2nd floor Computer Lab. We offer some basic classes about 3D printing, and can print 3D objects from your file (we do not have a 3D scanner at this time, so we can't make a copy of an object you bring in—you will need to send us a 3D file of the object you want printed. Please see our 3D printing procedure page for more details and limitations)

Send us a 3D file to print

To send us a file to print, make sure to read our 3D printing procedures and the fill out the 3D Printing Request form.

The current turnaround time for 3D printing is approximately 1-2 weeks (we will contact you when your print is finished). When you have been notified that your 3D print is ready, stop at the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor to pick it up.

The Rochester Public Library's 3D printer was funded with a SELCO Community Collaboration Grant.
