Gardening
It's all turning green again, just like the advertisements for garden shops and the flyers from events where Al Gore is the keynote speaker. While green thumbs are never a requirement to appreciate the beauty of nature, in order to nurture nature you might want to check out some of these websites and build up your green IQ.

- U of M's Gardening and Commercial Horticulture programs - The University of Minnesota's Gardening and Commercial Horticulture programs include educating northern home gardeners as well as horticulture production and service industries. The Master Gardener program trains volunteers to work with consumers.
- Rebecca Kolls website - For 11 years, Master Gardener/author/broadcaster Rebecca Kolls has hosted NBC’s nationally syndicated show “Rebecca’s Garden.” Many Minnesotans remember her from her 1990's job as WCCO-TV's Chief Meteorologist; and now she publishes her own magazine, “Seasons by Rebecca.” Kohls is a sought after speaker and has appeared on many national talk shows; plus featured in numerous national magazines and newspapers.

- Ketzel Levine's "Talking Plants" - National Public Radio's Senior Correspondent Ketzel Levine reports for the network's popular "Morning Edition." Levine's relationship with the show dates back to 1979, when it was first launched. She is based in Portland, Ore., where gardeners, she says, "are spoiled rotten."
- Felder Rushing website - Felder Rushing is the author or co-author of 15 gardening books (including several national award winners) and former urban horticulture specialist has written thousands of gardening columns, and has published in many regional and national garden magazines. He has hosted a tv program that was shown across the Southern U.S., and appeared many times on other national garden programs. Felder currently cohosts a call-in garden program over (non-MPR) public radio with his longtime friend Dr. Dirt called "The Gestalt Gardener."
