The Friends of the Library help support the library by raising money through book sales. The money raised helps the Rochester Public Library expand their collections and to finance special programs. All of the books are donated, all of the workers are volunteers, and all of the money raised supports Library programs.
2nd Saturday Sales
On the second Saturday of each month, the Friends' Bookstore displays books for sale in the foyer. The theme of the sale varies from month-to-month as do the sales specials. The sale is from 10:00am until 1:00pm. We hope to see you there!

Auditorium Book Sales
The Friends' Auditorium sales will include a Preview Sale that is open to all Friends of the Library. The Friends' Preview Sale is for Friends of the Library only, but memberships may be purchased at the door. The times and date of the Preview Sale will be included in all sale advertising.

Some of the Friends have Amazon accounts where they sell books that are considered collectible, unusual or special. Other Friends sell textbooks and other non-fiction at a variety of e-stores across the United States. Last year, the online sales earned close to $30,000 for the Library.
