Storytime Kits
Get email updates when new kits are added
Rochester Public Library has created storytime kits to support the efforts of child care providers and preschool teachers in promoting early literacy and school readiness.
Storytime Kits contain theme material suitable for preschool children (through age six). Kits emphasize stories and language use; they may include books, audio and video tapes/discs, puppets, puzzles, manipulative toys, activity sheets, and educational tools.
Kits may be borrowed for up to two weeks and picked up Monday through Saturday at the Children's desk in the library. Kits are now available to parents and grandparents for same-day pickup only. Child care providers may still book in advance.
Kits must be returned to the library on the day specified as others will be waiting to check them out. All items/pieces must be returned in the original bin. Overdue fees ($5 per day) will be charged for late items or kits. Full replacement cost will be charged for lost or damaged items or kits. To reserve a kit or for more information please call Children's Services at 285-8012 or email
