- This PBS website is based on one of its popular broadcasts. Students can learn about everyday life, oral traditions, myths, and general culture. This site offers a variety of media and interactive tools used to make Africa come alive.
- African American Pamphlets Home Page
- The Daniel A. P. Murray Pamphlet Collection presents a panoramic and eclectic review of African-American history and culture, spanning almost one hundred years from the early nineteenth through the early twentieth centuries, with the bulk of the material published between 1875 and 1900. Among the authors represented are Frederick Douglass, Booker T. Washington, Ida B. Wells-Barnett, Benjamin W. Arnett, Alexander Crummel, and Emanuel Love.

- This site contains selected tables and graphs reflecting the latest available census data and information regarding the African-American population of the United States.
- African American Web Connection
- An Internet resource guide about the African-American experience: art, authors, businesses, churches, entertainment, history, organizations, etc. Brief summaries are provided for each link.

- This site offers links to useful information on the African-American studies program at University of Pennsylvania.
- The African-American Mosaic
- On online exhibit from the Library of Congress that covers 4 periods in African-American history: Colonization, Abolition, Migrations, and the WPA.These topics were selected not only because they illustrate well the depth, breadth, and richness of the Library's black history collections, but also because of the significant and interesting interplay among them.

- Harlem Renaissance
- An online encyclopedia entry on the African-American cultural movement of the 1920's and 1930's.

- Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration of the ending of slavery.

- There are several links in this document so far and they go to many different sites that contain information on or relavent to African people on the continent and in the diaspora. This list is underconstruction and any additions, corrections or suggestions are welcome.
- Universal Black Pages
- The UBP serves as a means of networking
people with interests in the African diaspora. It offers a more global perspective
of the African diaspora - peoples and cultures. It could be used as an educational
resource (in conjunction with traditional media such as books, etc.) by students
and teachers in high schools and colleges.
