Homework Assistance Tutor
Provide individual assistance to students with specific questions about their homework assignments.

Library Host
Greet patrons as they enter the library, offer information about the library to new library users, provide directional assistance, and help staff maintain an environment that facilitates the use of library materials.

Clerk: Friends of the Library Bookstore
Assist customers of the Friends of the Library Bookstore by helping them find materials they wish to purchase, operate a cash register, arrange sales materials and maintain an inviting and pleasing store environment.
Working with People and Computers

CD-ROM Assistance
Assist children at CD-ROM workstations, demonstrate programs, monitor time limits, and check in programs.
Internet Monitors
Assist patrons of all ages in using the library's Internet workstations as well as monitor time limits and waiting lists.

Homebound Selectors
Promote the use of library materials to patrons confined to their home due to illness, disability, weather conditions, or lack of transportation. Discuss reading interests to assigned at-home patron and select materials to be delivered on a monthly schedule.

Outreach Selectors
Facilitate the use of library materials for residents of long-term care facilities, senior apartments and residences for younger adults with disabilities. Select materials for your assigned facility and prepare them for a monthly delivery schedule.

Adopt-a-shelf (shelf reading)
Adopt a selected or assigned section of shelving and keep collection items clean and in correct order.

Technical Services Processing Assistant
Help prepare materials for use in the library. Organize video covers and guides, photocopy replacement pages for materials that need mending, and enter bar codes for mended materials.

Working with Computers
Data Input for Post Bulletin Index
Improve the community's access to the Post Bulletin by entering information from the Post Bulletin into a searchable catalog. -

Acquisitions Assistance

Search library computer databases to verify the order status of library materials. Provide data-entry
and assist in the processing of new materials.
