Homebound Program
If you live in the city of Rochester and are restricted to your home temporarily or permanently because of illness, disability, or related issues, you may use the Rochester Public Library Homebound Service Program.
If you live outside of the city limits, but within Olmsted County, please call 285-8019 for the options available to you.

WHAT ABOUT RESIDENTS OF NURSING HOMES AND RETIREMENT CENTERS?
Most area nursing and retirement programs participate in the Rochester Public Library’s OUTREACH DEPOSIT PROGRAM. Individual requests are also available through this service. Call 285-8019 for more information, or consult the Activities Director at your center.
HOW ARE THE MATERIALS CHOSEN?
Each month a volunteer will call to ask which authors, topics, and titles you are interested in. Then a selection of library materials will be delivered to you.
HOW OFTEN ARE MATERIALS DELIVERED?
Library materials are delivered on the third Thursday of the month by a special team of volunteers.
IS THERE ANY CHARGE FOR THIS PROGRAM?
No. This service is provided free for residents of Olmsted County, with the help of library volunteers.
