Library Cards 
Your Free Library Card
- You may get a library card by filling out this form or
by applying in person at theRochester Public Library or Bookmobile.
- You must provide a photo ID and current address verification
to pick up the card at the Public Service desk.
- There is no fee for obtaining your library card. A $2.00
replacement fee will be charged if your card is lost or stolen.
- Your library card may be used at any public library in
Minnesota.
- You must have your card with you when checking out materials,
picking up reserved materials, or using the Internet.
- Your library card is updated every 3 years free of charge at the Library or Bookmobile.
Internet Card
Visitors may obtain a free Internet card good for up to 90 minutes of Internet access per day. A photo ID with current address is required to obtain an Internet card. Adults get the card at the Reference Desk on the second floor, people between 14 and 18 get the card at the Public Service Desk on the first floor and children under 14 get the card at the Children's Desk on first floor.
Visitors
Out-of-state visitors to Rochester may get a library card for a $10.00 fee. The card is good for two months. Visitors may borrow up to ten items at one time.
