Friends Membership
What does my Friends' membership help to do?
- Directly support and enrich library services
- Promote early childhood literacy with "Read with Me" book bags for babies
- Sponsor library programs for children, teens and adults
- Operate the Friends' used book store which contributes proceeds in excess of $50,000 annually to the library's collection
Why should I join the Friends?
- Receive Friends' newsletter 4 times per year
- Early Admission to most Friends' book sales
- Discount at the Friends' Bookstore
Membership Levels
- Member ... $10 - $24
- Senior Citizen or full-time student ... $5

Membership renewal letters are usually mailed out in September. Thank you very much for your renewals!
Please remember to supply your email addresses for online delivery. This saves the Friends substantial postage costs.
Volunteering at the library
Get Connected! Volunteers assist, enhance, and support the work of the Rochester Public Library. Listed below are library volunteer opportunities which are ideal for anyone interested in people, books, libraries, and the community. Qualification requirements range from high school students with little job experience to people with professional degrees and many years of experience. All positions require individuals with good organizational and communication skills. For information call 507.328.2341.
